October 2013

Just finished this page the other night of my sweet little girl. I did a page like this a few years ago. Most of these pics are her school pictures over the years. She is my little buddy and helper...I don't know what I would do without her!

 It's Fall so that means I basically live either at the school, my mini van or on a field. It's been such a fun season. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! I enjoy watching my kids do their thing and supporting them. Heston is playing machine pitch baseball on the Yankees (his favorite team! That worked out great!) with CYBB this year. He has been loving it! He's played different positions but he plays 1st base the most.

My manchild a.k.a. Braden is playing AYSO right now. He'll be trying out for the high school team in December. He learned so much from the BYU Soccer camp he attended this summer. The picture below was taken at his last game. He usually plays defender but he's been playing more offense lately. 

Fall Break was last week and it was so nice! The weather has been awesome! My parents came down for a few days and we had fun with them. I'm already looking forward to Thanksgiving.

 Surprises from Papa and Gaga

 Aaron has been gone to China for business. It was so nice to have a visit from Mom and Dad. We had a great time and they loved the awesome weather. Mom's birthday was on the 19th so we got her a Nothing Bundt cake. It was so good!

 I got to be a chaperone for the 5th Grade field trip. We went to Local Motors and the kids got to learn about cars. It was really fun, the kids loved it.

 After Local Motors, we found a park to eat lunch. I'm glad I got the day off so I could go :)

Paige's ballet recital

 I forgot to post some pictures from Paige's dance recital in June. Paige was happy Papa and Gaga could make it down.

I'm so glad we found a great dance studio, Paige is really happy there. She started ballet again 3 weeks ago and she's added jazz as well. She loves it :)

When I saw these pictures, I melted into a puddle on the floor :)

San Diego: Part 1 of our CA adventure

We started our California trip in San Diego. Aaron and his brother J ran in the half marathon so we spent a day and a half at Pacific Beach. The weather was beautiful! The kids couldn't wait to get in the water and boogie board. My mom joined us on our trip, we were happy to have her :)

Paigeykins

On our way up to Anaheim, we stopped in and saw Matt, Alisha and the kids. They cooked us an awesome dinner complete with a fire and S'mores. The kids love hanging out with their cousins...they didn't want to leave ;) Thanks for having us guys, we'll see you soon!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there! I wanted to let my Mom know how much I love and appreciate her. Instead of a card this year, I made this scrapbook page instead.

Usery Mountain

We had a great time with Mom and Dad during their visit. We went up to Usery Mountain (north Mesa) on Saturday for an overnight campout. It was really fun and we had a great time going on hikes and just hanging out. Food just tastes better when you're camping!

Halloween recap

My parents came down this weekend, we had so much fun! They got here Friday night so they were able to go trick-or-treating with us. Braden is dressed up as his idol Obi Wan Kenobi (Grandma Martha made the cape but I worked some magic with some fake leather and clearance fabric from Walmart) Paige is Snow White of course (remember I said I was going to make this costume? I ran out of time! And it was cheaper to buy it. I wussed out.) Heston is a cute little M&M. I was going to be the yellow peanut M&M but I think I'll save that for next year. (there's red-eye in these pictures, I hate that and I apologize...I'll fix it later)

On Saturday, we went to B&P's soccer games. I'm glad they play their games in the morning because it got up to 93 on Saturday. I didn't make P's Halloween costume but I did do my soccer mom duties and made B's team banner.

Tomorrow is the last day of my Week in the Life project. I need to go through all my pictures and notes and get the book put together.
