Last Thursday night was the good ol’ Pinewood Derby. It’s probably my favorite part of scouting. The boys get so excited! Aaron and I were talking about how high-tech the Pinewood derby has become. Remember the days of the wooden track with the blankets at the end? Those days are long gone. Everything is computerized now and they take the averages of all the races to determine the winner. (it cuts down on the arguments between some of the dads and the judges) “The Lego Devil” was awarded the most comedic car.
Braden also had his first basketball game of the season on Saturday. There was a scheduling conflict with the gym so they played their game on the outdoor courts. It was nice to enjoy the sunshine before summer sets in. It’ll be a fun season…

Funny you say a wooden track with blankets at the end, that is exactly what we had last year... :) I guess we are a little slow catching up with the times. :) So jealous of your sunshine.. I need to come visit you!!!! Miss you!
